Nearly 7,500 Christmas presents will be distributed in Bulgaria thanks to House of Opportunity supporters!
This year has seen an increase in the number of boxes donated last year, with 7,470 boxes having been shipped to Sofia last week. “We’re really grateful to everybody who has taken part in the appeal,” says Rich Parsons, Operations Manager for House of Opportunity. “Some have been supporting the appeal for years, but we are also attracting new participants, which is wonderful. These present bring so much joy to the people that receive them, but you shouldn’t underestimate what it means to the folk here that make up the presents, or to the volunteers that give thieir time to help check and pack the boxes ready for shipping. We’ve had really tremendous support from schools, churches and businesses, as well as a lot of individuals and families – thank you so much! And we want to say a special thank you to the members of Woodfalls Methodist Church, who very generously gave us the use of their building in November as a base for checking and packing all the Christmas boxes”.
