The summer has been full of stories, strength, and connection.
This summer, our partner organisation in Moldova, Beginning of Life, had the privilege of organising two meaningful camps. The first was for 111 Ukrainian refugees and the second for 80 lone mothers and their children
At both camps, the BoL team was surrounded by incredibly strong people, each carrying their own story of pain, resilience, and hope. There were moments of rest, and moments of deep connection too.
At the camp for lone mothers, women shared their stories with one another and were deeply moved by how much each of them had gone through. Despite the challenges, they showed extraordinary strength, supporting one another with empathy and courage.
It wasn’t just talk; there was laughter, tears, fun, and space for healing. While the mothers reflected and found support, the children enjoyed a thoughtful and joyful programme created just for them.
The BoL team are very grateful to have been able to share in these powerful moments and for everyone who made the camps possible.
