Every year House of Opportunity receives thousands of Christmas boxes from its generous supporters. However, before any Christmas boxes can be put on a truck, each one has to be checked to make sure it is suitable and ready to be shipped. This process has taken place in many different locations in Salisbury over the years, including shops, warehouses, churches and schools.
This year the Christmas box depot will be at River Bourne Community Farm, which has generously donated the use of one of its buildings for the purpose in November. Rich Parsons, Operations Manager at House of Opportunity says, “It’s always a pleasure to work with other Salisbury-based organisations, so we are delighted that River Bourne Community Farm is giving us some space to prepare the Christmas boxes for shipping this year. We are looking forward to working with them, and to hosting our many wonderful volunteers who give their time to help with what is a very big task!”
